Sometimes, people who suffer from hope deferred do not have the strength to continue holding up their own arms in prayer. God often places others around the weary ones to support and encourage them through the battle.
The encouragement of others helps us move from fear and passivity to belief and action. It is not a panacea for our fears. It doesn’t even eliminate them. But it does help us move forward even though we are uncertain.
"Why on earth have You left these temptations in my life? I don't see how anything good can come from them! Why didn't You just take them away when I got saved? You want me to live a holy life, don't You?"
